SJCARES Mission: To implement and maintain an Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) that can be utilized to augment governmental communications in disasters, emergencies and large events. ARRL ARES is an organization of licensed radio amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment, with their local ARES leadership, for communications duty in public service when disaster strikes.
